Filed under: Democrats, McCain, Obama, Republicans, Sarah Palin

The results from a new Rasmussen Poll,

Seven out of 10 voters (69%) remain convinced that reporters try to help the candidate they want to win, and this year by a nearly five-to-one margin voters believe they are trying to help Barack Obama.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of voters think most reporters are trying to help Obama win versus 11% who believe they are trying to help his Republican opponent John McCain. Twenty-six percent (26%) say reporters offer unbiased coverage. (Emphasis mine)

Analysis from Newsbusters,

NewsBusters.org’s parent company, the Media Research Center, today released the following statement from President L. Brent Bozell, III.:

“The liberal press is out of control in its partisanship. Overwhelmingly the American people know just how over the top they are in their blatant bias towards Sen. Barack Obama.

“The jig is up for the liberal ‘news’ media. Last week, the American people overwhelmingly vilified them for their blatant bias against Gov. Sarah Palin. And now 83% of their audience says they are openly and unashamedly trying to help elect Sen. Obama.

“But the liberal ‘news’ media show absolutely no signs of changing their tune. They continue charging forward in full-throated support of Sen. Obama. Their sour notes are striking the wrong chord with an ever-increasing number of Americans.”

MSNBC and the other liberal press is losing viewers at a fast rate. The American people are beginning to see the light. CBS just forced youtube to pull John McCain’s lipstick pig ad! Yes the media is trying in every way it can to elect Obama.

I don’t believe any of the polls. You trust the polls but you don’t trust the media?? As I posted over at Bob’s…there is NO liberal press. Most of the media outlets are controlled by corporations…guess who the corporations love? That old Rush Limbaugh talking point about a Liberal press doesn’t fly anymore. What I see happening is that, yes, they want the presidential race to appear close so that it can be stolen again via voting machines or the supreme court…and you have the nerve to say that the Liberal press control the media??? I’m sick of the so-called tact of conservatives saying that the poor repubs are getting picked on…they deserve to be picked on…LOOK AT WHERE OUR COUNTRY IS GOING???

No liberal press? Then you are blind.

Not blind…cynical! I really doubt that either candidate or party can get this country straightened out…I hope that’s not true. Meanwhile, stock up on ammo and canned goods!

Comment by Mary

I don’t think any reasonable person believes either candidate will streighten out the country. . .

Comment by krissmith777

If you think that then why do you care and talk all the claptrap about a so-called liberal press, there is no liberal press. It is controlled press by those in power.

Comment by Mary

Because the press IS Liberal. — It is actively campaigning for Obama. And if you don’t see that, then I’m sorry.

There’s the media bias against McCain and Palin, then perple like Gibson, Matthews, and Oblermann. There was CNN’s advancing of anti-Palin lies even after FactCheck.org disproved them, and also the media is now advancing and defending the new Obama Ad that call Rush Limbaugh and John McCain racists even though investigation shows the Ad is a lie!!!!

If you cannot see that, then I can onlyu repeat what I said earlier and say you are just blind!!

You said, “I don’t think any reasonable person believes either candidate will streighten out the country.” So…if your beloved McCain and Palin get in they can straighten this mess out??? What does that have to do with what you call Liberal press?

McCain is not my “Beloved.” — I really don’t care for him that much. — I’m voting for him because I think things will be marginally better than if Obama were to win.

And secondly, All I said was the liberal news outlets are campaigning for Obama. Nothing else. I only mentioned it because you are blind to what’s in front of you.
